Equipment Sales and Service

Death Valley - Sand Dunes.JPG (27447 bytes)One of the most important factors when considering large format equipment is getting the best product for your "hard-earned" dollars. Another factor is developing a relationship with your dealer so you will feel confident with your purchase. There is nothing more stressful than calling a fancy, quick-tongue sales person who tells you what you need just because it is the most expensive or because it is where he makes his biggest profit. Perhaps he takes your money and you never hear from him or the company again…you are not even sure when your newly purchased equipment will arrive at you door.

When it does arrive, you might have some very important questions concerning all of this stuff in the big brown box. Do you get the support (service) you need and deserve after spending all of your money? Did you buy a lens that cost thousands of dollars when one that cost hundreds would have done just as well? Is the new camera in the box the best unit for your purpose? You might ask, "How do I get this camera unfolded and folded up again? How do I mount the new lens on the lens-board? Who is going to help me get all of this figured out so I can get out of this dreadful office and do some serious photographing?" There are many good dealers to choose from. There are many dealers that will take your money, turn to the next sale and never looking back to see if you are OK.

I consider myself to be an honest man … at least I do my best to tell the truth. Over the many years that I have been in this crazy business, I have spent many hours on the telephone with customers helping them with their questions and concerns. We discussed all of the aspects for their new purchase until we both felt good about it. A customer may call me many times just to assure him / herself that the correct decision was made. I expect these calls as part of my service and part of the educational process. There is nothing that upsets me more than a dissatisfied client.

TRUST, HONESTY and SUPPORT are the key words…without these values, there is no reason to be in this business.
