Consulting

I have been struggling with the old question, "what am I going to do with the rest of my life?" Specifically, how can I continue to make a living with all this information I have compiled over the years? How can I keep in touch with my many friends and customers who have relied on me these past years? What am I going to do to continue my part in this crazy world of large format photography?

Looking back at my many years of retail I have come to realize that much of my business came from those folks who I spent endless hours with on the phone. My personal philosophy is to give the best and most honest advice possible to the customer. My customers deserve all the information necessary to make an educated decision before embarking into the world of large format. As Ben Franklin said "A penny saved is a penny earned". The most expensive item may not necessarily be the best. I have always had a problem with those fashionable quick tongued sales people who want to sell me the most expensive thing on the shelf because they have determined it is what I need.

Many of you have kept in touch with me over the years. I deeply appreciate you continuing to contact me for help and advice. This shows how much you value the advice I have to share with you

Large Format Consulting.

You and I both know that one phone call can sometime save us hundreds/thousands of dollars and hours of horrible frustration.

It is my greatest wish (my dream) to continue to teach, support, encourage, and fight for us large format photographers and to make a living at what I love to do most. We are fortunate to work in the tradition of the masters who set the standards for this form of expression- Adams, Bullock, Weston, Strand. They shared their secrets and established the benchmark for all of photography. We are deeply rooted in this past. We carry on this tradition of sharing and learning. On doing so, we exercise our right to express what we deem necessary. Let no one fault us. We are the future of photography.

My wife Marta and I thank you for your continued support and friendship
